Who We Are

What we believe

At Saint Andrew’s, we are a welcoming community of faith that gathers to discover, nurture, and deepen our relationship with God.  We strive to serve as the hands and feet of Christ in the world.  Whoever you are, wherever you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome here.

As Episcopalians we believe in, and follow, the teachings of Jesus Christ, with the Bible as the foundation.  Our faith is based on Scripture (the Bible as the word of God), Tradition (historic Church practice), and Reason (using the mind God gave us to explore faith).  As a diverse congregation, we are bound together in the Book of Common Prayer which is our guide for worship, liturgy, and theology.  Used for all services, including Holy Eucharist, baptisms, weddings, and funerals, the Book of Common Prayer bridges the Bible and daily life.

Our Sunday services are the Holy Eucharist, a Communion service from the Book of Common Prayer, which includes Scripture readings, prayers, and a sermon.  At St Andrew’s, all are welcome at God’s table to receive Communion.

Our Saturday service is Morning Prayer, led by laity.  Rooted in monastic tradition, and included in the Book of Common Prayer, the service combines scripture readings, psalms, canticles and prayers.
