Building and Grounds
Manages the maintenance of parish property and endeavors to keep St. Andrew’s in excellent physical condition. Plans for current and long-range improvements to keep our church a functional and inviting space. Parishioners are encouraged to participate in scheduled clean-up days and other volunteer efforts. Subcommittees: Green and Landscape.
Christian Formation for Adults
Promotes awareness and opportunities for deepening the spiritual life of church members through a variety of programs and groups, by making parishioners aware of outside spiritual growth opportunities, and by promoting efforts to enhance and transform the lives of God’s people.
Children’s Ministry
Enables and supports ministry to the children of the parish through Christian education programs including the nursery, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, choir, special events, and other formation opportunities.
Youth Formation
Establishes programs for middle and high school youth including Confirmation preparation, acolyte training, and the implementation of a new formation program and a planned youth group.
Finance
Evaluates current expense and income patterns and prepares the annual budget for adoption by the Vestry. Reviews the annual audit as well as accounting and reporting procedures by the treasurer and bookkeeper. Makes recommendations regarding insurance coverage/risk management and investment options. Subcommittee: Trust Fund.
Inreach
Provides opportunities for members of the parish to care for each other in times of need, such as illness, grief, unemployment, and birth. Coordinates fellowship activities for parishioners as well as events and procedures for inviting, welcoming and incorporating new members.
Hospitality
Coordinates coffee hour gatherings after both Sunday services and supports and facilitates receptions, holiday celebrations, and various social events for the parish. Maintains supplies and expendables.
Outreach
Encourages parishioners to reach out to others, particularly our neighbors, through community meals, the Good News Garden, and by supporting the work of the PADS Interim Housing Center. Offers both financial and hands-on support and works to achieve interfaith and community unity by reaching out to other religious organizations and hosting occasional panel discussions.
Policy and Procedures
Maintains and updates policies and procedures for St. Andrew’s Church. Distributes our policy manual to Vestry members and makes it available to parishioners. Click here for a copy of the Policy Manual – September 2019.
STEWARDSHIP
Communicates the continuing need for parishioners to commit their time, talent, and treasure to the mission of Christ’s church in our world. Directs the annual financial stewardship program and regularly updates parishioners on St. Andrew's financial position.
